disturbance of nesting birds

hi guys,been seeing the same people walking across the fields between calor gas and upto and including causewayon both sides of road,surely this is causing disturbance to ground nesting birds in the area.
Why cant people stay off these areas for a couple of months especially the causeway. ok we all want to get better views but i would bet these people are the first ones to complain about dog walkers and photographers,their arguement will be we have done it for years not really a good arguement for people who are supposed to have birds at heart but risk causing disturbance just for a tick...
