Great capture, Ray, even though you didn't realise at the time. Many others, like me, would have been the same.

Keith Ryan

Thanks Ray, really enjoyed seeing the bird today, wouldn't have seen it without your posting.

Cheers Renton, I don't think I would have realised at all, If It wasn't for Graeme, so I think all credit to him.

Also pleased you got to see It Keith.

I should point out that it was Tom Francis who first spotted the photo Ray, we both agreed it was a Baird's.

I will happily accept the credit for refinding it today though! Brilliant moment...

It was with a flock of about 25 Sanderling and 3 Dunlin on the beach straight out from the path on to the Snook when I first saw it, but later it spent a lot of time on its own, ranging almost as far as North Gare later on.

Brilliant bird, good job you posted the shots or it might have escaped us...

Cheers, Graeme

Some poor images from 5/9/12 evening at Seaton Snook................it was present this morning 6/9/12 at 9.30 in the presence of three Sanderling unfortunately these were all chased off by a dog and flew north towards Seaton Carew!
