Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers

Hello there.  New to the forum so bare with me.  Just wanted to ask if anyone knows if it is worth visiting Weary Bank in search of LS Woodpeckers as I havent heard any news apart from a few years ago.  I cant recall any news last year and I have visited Weary Bank on several occasions without luck.  Are there any other well publicised areas in or around the general area?  My email address is csvalidationltd@msn.com if anyone has any non-sensitive information that can be shared.

Hi,

I think they were still there last year but not easy but I have not heard anything of them so far this year. Someone asked a similair question recently on birdforum but nobody knew any sites where you could go to see them in this area. Opinion was they are very thinly spread.
