Land Clearance

I recently noticed that the scrub land opposite Dormans car park has been cleared and levelled as if some kind of developement is about to take place. Also further up on the corner of the approach road to the top car park looks like that is being cleared out also. Does anyone know whats going on?

I saw this today and was rather surprised about the amount of destruction at the entrance to the tip and also a strip of the Dorman's pool area has been destroyed by what looks like the start of a new road.

I'm not sure if it accounts for all the land that's been cleared but maybe the bit by the crash barrier at Dormans Pool as it's only a narrow strip that's been cleared.

There are 2 separate activities here, I understand.
1 The area of dense brambles by the rail crossing, opposite the D P lower car park, has been cleared as a set down area for kit and machinery to be used for the construction of plant on the Rec area.
2 The longitudinal strip of land , parallel to the road, on the south edge of the " triangle" has been retained by Impetus as a services corridor and has been cleared from encroaching scrub. Hopefully it will not be regularly sprayed with herbicide as is the practice on industrial land in the county.
