swan feathers

Hi hope this gets answered , when walking around we all come across swan feathers on the ground is it illegal to pick these up for personal use?

They belong to H.R.M. i presume but i wouldn't have thought she would prosecute one of her subjects for helping themselves to a few feathers.lol
