Think its a woodcock?
I asked in sightings last week after I found it hiding in the garden.

Yes, thats a woodcock, quite possibly one resting after coming in off the sea. Not completely uncommon in gardens near our coast at this time of year.

Yep! Woodcock. A good species to get in the garden.
