Work is still ongoing but there is access to the hide for key holders, please be careful. The first, long diagonal drive to the top car park has now been blocked, it is to remain so and this will be pedestrian only from now on. The top entrance to the top car park has been widened and resurfaced so please use this, we will not loose our access to this top car park.

Dorman's Pool Work
Northumbrian Water will soon be finished with the work to the water main, the first road to the top car park has been reclosed and the top road opened.
RSPB are having water troughs put in place so that grazing animals can drink, the water in dorman's pool is too salty and animals will be put on this site. When this is complete the hide will be open during RSPB hours. TBC members have 24 hour access but must have a key for this, if a TBC member is in the hide at RSPB lockup and they do not have a key they must leave so that the hide can be locked. Keys are available from Chris Sharp by post or from me on a Wednesday or Saturday when I am at Saltholme, I usually have one or two in my pocket, they cost £4.

Dorman's Pool Hide is now open duing RSPB opening times, 10am to 5pm, this will change to 4pm in when the clocks go back, you must be out by closing time unless you have your own key.

As said above Dorman's Pool Hide is now open dying RSPB hours, if you have a key can you please remember not to lock it during these hours, on on or two times a visitor without a key as gone down to find it locked. Thank you for your help in this.

It's happened again, could members with keys to the hide please leave it open when they leave it during RSPB hours, they are unlocking and re-locking the hide. Not all our members have keys and are walking down to find it has been locked.
