Hi everyone,
I've been lurking in the forum for a while, mainly reading the posts, sorry for not being more active before now!
I am hoping for some assistance if possible? I am a trainee ringer with Steve Norman over in Marske area and have been training now for two years. I work full time as an animal management lecturer and have two kids so struggle to get out ringing as much as I would like (otherwise I'd be out much more frequently!). I have experience in ringing a range of passerines and birds of prey from mist nets and as pulli from nest boxes.
I have been speaking to Steve about getting experience in a wider range of birds, particularly waders/waterfowl, as I have not had any experience with those at all (except a singular moorhen that flew into the mist net!). He suggested that I ask Tees Ringing group or South Cleveland Ringing group if anyone would be able to take me out for some experience, however, I couldn't find the details on the BTO website. Could anyone point me in the right direction or assist me in any way please?
King regards,
Lauren

You could try Chris Brown from Tees Ringing Group. He maybe able to point you in the right direction. They do a lot of waders on the north side of the river. I'm not sure who if anyone does them on the south side but he would know. They have a Facebook page you can join. His contact details are on cr-birding such as this page - http://crbirding.org/sr/node/3196. His phone number is on the TBC events page if you want to ring/text him.

Hi Ian,
Thank you for replying. I have had contact from Eric Wood from Tees Ringing Group about ringing waders at Greatham Creek and North Gare area, I am actually from Billingham so this area is more convenient for me.
Thanks again,
Lauren
