Saltholme icy path updates

Due to the current thaw during the day refreeze at night conditions, the paths at the Reserve will be be closed today with the exception of the service track to Saltholme Pools Hide. The Visitor Centre will remain open. With the conditions as they are and as they are expected to be this week, the access to the Reserve could very well stay like this. We will work away at the paths and try to get more access out to the hides. Thank you for your patience and understanding and we hope to get back to normal business as soon as possible. Bad news again Ladies and Gents. The Visitor Centre will be open but none of the external hides and paths will be open due to ice. We're spending the day on them so hopefully they'll be useable tomorrow. 600+ gulls on the Main Lake if you want a bacon buttie and some larid practise

Big thaw overnight so everywhere's open except Haverton as there's a bit of ice on the slope. Hope the pools follow suit so we can get some birds back.
