Margrove Ponds Mid Afternoon. The Leucisitic Coot which we first spotted around 5 years ago. Over those years we have had it at Scaling Dam, Lockwood Beck, Margrove Ponds, Peakers Pond Guisborough, Redcar Marsh, and Salthome as well as other places. Each Year it exhibits more White. I know it has been seen many times but I consider it a rare sighting based on how few are seen each year.

Nice looking bird Derek, I've seen it a few times myself!

Renton, as you say many of us have now seen it, in fact it has been affectionately named by many who know it as Snowflake. I dont know who first found it but having checked my diary, I recorded a group of us at Scaling seeing what we believed to be this bird for the first time in 2014. As you say it is a nice looking bird.
