When writing my piece about Vic Fairbrother's Ouzel book in the December Newsletter,, I looked at the price while wearing my computer glasses and not my reading glasses, and misread and quoted the price in $s.  The correct price is £21.95, and Vic has some copies at the discount price of £15.95.  He can be contacted on 01287 633744.  As an extra recommendation, British Birds have made it the Book of the Month :

The Ring Ouzel: a view from the North York Moors
By Vic Fairbrother and Ken Hutchinson
Whittles Publishing, 2020

Many of us will not routinely see the Ring Ouzel on its breeding grounds. Those of us who bird patches on the east coast will probably see it in small numbers in spring and autumn (and while it's optimistic to be thinking already about those early spring migrants, in a lockdown we should take whatever crumbs of comfort where we can). And while we are locked down this account of the 'moorland Blackbird' in one part of its British breeding range is a really good read, well worth the price tag of around £20 and a great credit to the two authors.
