A record shot from this morning for posterity. It was even more distant this afternoon.
Hopefully it will stick around and show a little closer.
Mine are similar Ian, hope it stays around a while for closer shots.
These are actually quite sharp, Renton, and show many of the id features. Pretty good in the circumstances. Can I use them for my BBRC record submission? I hope no bright spark is going to tell me Sharp-tailed Sandpiper is no longer on the BBRC list! Best wishes, Dave
Help yourself Dave, happy to help. If you need larger file size let me know.

Bird showed well and quite close at times tonight. However it was very mobile!
Some excellent footage of the bird by Paul Hindess here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDLH3fjBFMw
Some additional record shots of the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper, from 21st.
