Title: Iconic buildings and rare birds
Post by: Keith Ryan on January 30, 2011, 08:31:20 PM
Watching the Antique Roadshow this evening which was based at Lincoln Cathedral got me thinking. The first Cattle Egret I saw was in Lincolnshire,  it flew in front of me and in the background was Lincoln Cathedral, very impressive.Another good sighting was American Bittern at Marton Mere in Lancashire, in the same view was Blackpool Tower. My favourite however was a Golden Eagle flying across in front of me with the Transporter Bridge behind it, I bet there's not many people that can say that apart from Brian Clasper and Ian Lawson who were with me at the time. Anyone else got similar sightings to compare?
