Title: Black Headed Gull
Post by: Eddie H on February 11, 2011, 10:26:33 AM
Guys,

Currently sat in the Solent on a ship. On the mud banks here there's lots of species of birds, but one quandry !

Amongst all the winter plumage BHG's there's one in FULL head gear. Isn't this very early for breading colours. Too far away for my 170-500mm lens.

Cheers for the ID bit. Thought I was cracking up. Also spotted a Tern, but could not ID the make on that one.
