There was some confusion over a stint ID on Bottom Tank yesterday and the discussion that went on as to it's identification, as I believe, never got further than the hide itself.
If you are lucky enough to see a good bird. or are unsure of a birds identification, while out and about on the reserve that you think others might enjoy then please let one of our hide guides know if you bump into them or have a chat with reception when you leave. We may not be able to clarify all identification queries but we can get more visitors in to have a look and hopefully reach a conclusion. If you're not going to be passing back through the centre or want to tell us quickly then the Centre number is 01642 546625 and we'll get your sighting on the board giving as many people the opportunity to see something good as we can.
Alternatively if it is after hours then feel free to call me on 07595654912 if you think it is something of regional or national significance, ie good numbers of people coming to see it and I will do my best, with the rest of the reserve staff and volunteers to make sure we get as many people to see the bird as quickly and safely as possible.
If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message on here or e-mail me at toby.collett@rspb.org.uk
Thank you very much :)
