Trapped these In the garden, could someone confirm for me whether both are riband wave or not.

I'm not a moth expert but going on the description of Riband Wave in Waring & Townsend (2009) I would say that the moths in your photos are both Riband Waves.

I suppose I was put off by the colour difference mainly, other than that I thought that they were both Riband Wave.
