Title: last call for mammal and herptile records
Post by: Ian Bond on October 19, 2011, 08:29:16 PM
Hi
Northumbria Mammal Group is doing a roundup of all north east mammal, reptile and amphibian records in order to create distribution maps to inform species accounts for our forthcoming publication on the aforementioned groups.
If you have any such records (for any date) please could you send them to us on northumbriamammalgroup@hotmail.co.uk by the end of the month if at all possible
The minimum we need is species, year, location and 4 fig grid ref though any more details would be welcome.

Many thanks to those of you who have sent in records already.

Cheers
Ian

I've been asked if it is possible to see a copy of the current maps so that it is easier to see if your mammal records fills a gap.  A copy of the maps can be viewed at http://www.nhsn.ncl.ac.uk/news/cms/mammal-distribution-maps/

I have also been asked to clarify whether signs of mammals are acceptable.  Signs of mammals are fine, as is road kill, provided that you can be confident of the species.

Thanks
Ian
