first post so go easy on me.
Ive not been over to Scaling Dam since I was a nipper and fancied a little run over that area with me bins and camera gear..
Is it possible to park and then walk the circumference of the lake ?

There is a car park at both the East end and the west end of the reservoir. The best place is the west end car park (Scaling Dam Yatch Club) as the hide and nature reserve are there. There is a circular walk (approx 3 miles) around the reservoir.
