Guys,
Having only been to Coatham Stobb once, where abouts is the Shrike observed. Its quite a big area only to be stood in the wrong area.
Cheers, Eddie H
Just follow the footpath out of the car park past the Barn Owl box crossing over the footbridge and up the grassy bank following the overhead wires. Quite often it's been on the right side of the path in the low scrubby deciduous trees.
This morning you had to follow the path under wires over the next footbridge carrying on under the wires for another 400m or so. When I arrived it was on the right hand side of the second block of conifers backing onto the tall trees of Coatham Stobb but it moved to the left side of the wires.
It can be anywhere so you just have to wander around until you see it. It can be anywhere on what is a very large site.
The arrow on the map marks where it was mostly at this morning - http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=439005&Y=516362&A=Y&Z=120&ax=439005&ay=516362 (http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=439005&Y=516362&A=Y&Z=120&ax=439005&ay=516362)
AS always,
Many thanks Ian.
