Title: Pipit frenzy
Post by: RichardB on April 16, 2012, 10:52:21 PM
The walk around the back of Scaling Dam is infested with many friendly pipits.
Are these all likely to be Tree pipits or a variety of Tree, Meadow and others...or are they indeed all Pipits.

I would say A C D are all Meadow Pipits, looking at broad streaks continuing down flanks and weak supercilium or hint of eye ring. B has a stronger supercilium, but I wouldn't like to call it on that photo.
