The Osprey spent a lot of time today at Lockwood attempting to catch fish. I only saw it catch one fish from the west side of the water this morning in the rain. It flew away towards Stanghow but returned after about an hour to perch alternately in pines on both the west and east side. Didn't perch for long, flying on a number of occasions from perches to look for fish but not catching any whilst I was there in the afternoon. Fortunately the light improved for a while in the afternoon.
