I recall an article in one of the birding monthly publications that this species can be aged and sexed from plumage details in its second and later years. Any takers chaps?

The march edition of Birdwatch magazine seems to suggest 3cy female, due to dark forehead, yellow bill (exludes 1cy) and scaly neck. Could be a 2cy female though.
