Title: Newt or Lizard? - RSPB Saltholme
Post by: IanF on May 20, 2013, 01:41:45 PM
On the entrance ramp to the Phil Stead Hide this morning. I only managed a couple of photos before it scuttled down in between the boards of the ramp.

I thought it was a lizard at first but now I think it might be a Smooth Newt?

It looks like a newt to me and searching for juvenile smooth newt on google shows quite a few similar looking newts.

Chris.
