looks like the game keepers ,and land owners have done a fantastic job, they have compleated there task of eradicating the hen harrier as a breeding bird from england.come august the 12th,they can blast away,and quaff pims,and tell each other JOB DONE.
Unfortunately it's not just the "shooting fraternity" but the apathy of the Media and the general public and of course our wonderful bent politicians.

thought i would conduct an experement,at work.I work for sainsburys and through the course of a day I asked as many colleagues as possible if they new what a hen harrier was. got some funny looks, not one person new. some people came close with a type of bird.one said they would google it when they got home.all, asked why i was asking.but all were concerned ,when i told them a magnificent free spirit ,has become extinct as a breeding bird and they will never see one comming out of the mist,as i remember one.most people know about panders ,tigers, ect,but i think most people are oblivious its happening.do you not think the r s p b would do more ,and get the media, to let the puplic know about a minority that wont tollerate a bird that interfears with there fun.i know the shooters start squrming when this is brought up ,saying the grouse shooting brings in thousands to the econemy,people who love nature ,must surely out number thoughs that want to stamp on it and ultimitly spend more and give more back ,than the dark side.well thats my gripe for today.
