A few years back and on the advice of TBC, Hartlepool designated Rossmere Park as a Local Wildlife Site on the basis that the entire Teesmouth population of wintering Little Egrets were regularly roosting there.
Does anyone know if that is still the case?

There were 4-5 roosting there again last winter as there have been each winter the last few years. I've not checked recently but it may be still too early for them to turn up there.
It was also a good location for wintering Goosander last with with up to a dozen there.
