After a long wait, the drake Green Winged Teal eventually showed from the hide at Saltholme this afternoon. Heavily cropped image below

There is a resident Green Winged Teal in the beck at Saltburn Valley Gardens, It has been there for a couple of months now, you can get quite close to this one.

Sorry Ray, wrong ID, the Green Winged Teal would have a vertical white stripe on its breast. Your pic is the common Eurasian Teal.

Sorry about that, It seems I have a lot to learn about birds, I usually try to ID them off the RSPB site.
