Title: BREEDING swift records
Post by: A McLee on January 12, 2016, 03:13:18 PM
The conservation committee is gathering records of locations for swift colonies. In addition to submitted records, we are interested in reports from those members who do not usually submit records annually. We are only interested in locations where there is strong evidence of breeding. This usually means screaming parties dashing along the faces of buildings or glimpses of an adult shooting into a nest hole ( not a commonly witnessed sight).Large numbers hawking over , say Saltholme in poor weather or diffuse flocks drifting overhead in a mild evening provide no clues to their actual breeding sites.
Thanking you in anticipation
