Seen flying above Greetham Creek.

Difficult to say from that angle. I suspect they're Whimbrel.

There were plenty flying over last night.

There aren't really. Each April/May we get quite a few passing through. Tidal Pool and Cowpen Marsh are regular stop off points. They sometimes stay a week or so before moving on.

Last night was pretty exceptional with 30+ on the ground on Cowpen Marsh but more regularly passing over Tidal Pool. There were still a few around this morning scattered over Cowpen Marsh and on Salterns.

I didn't see any at all tonight though I didn't stay as late as I did last night.
