Title: Dorman's Pool Path
Post by: Dave-N on May 26, 2016, 07:00:16 AM
Please be aware.
To prevent disturbance to SPA breeding and wintering birds, and to prevent any health and safety issues along this dangerous route, the path north from Dorman's hide will be closed in the near future.

I see the new path closure was in force today.

Still not sure why the path has been closed.

It's certainly not dangerous in the slightest. After all it led to where the hide was situated not that long ago. It's hard core with fences both sides and screened by trees on Dormans Pool side.

That section was by far the best this year to view several species such as warblers and Linnets in the brambles from a safe secure distance from the path.

I could perhaps understand it being closed from the end of the path, but not the spot that's been chosen.
