I note that RSPB have just reported a pair of Little Gulls have hatched 2 chicks at their Strathbeg reserve in Scotland - nice one. A first hatching record for the UK.
The island has only Common Terns and no B H gulls on it, so they have a better than good chance of not being swallowed.
