Title: Another Mystery Duck
Post by: Derickp on November 14, 2016, 05:28:07 PM
Margrove Ponds today. A very large Mystery Duck on the ponds again. Seems to be a common thing down here. Is it a Hybred? If so what with? It is much much larger than a Mallard as can be seen from photo 2.

Hi Derick,
Going on size and bill colour then maybe a hybrid with Muscovy Duck.

Thanks for the suggestion Damian. I never considered that one, but Size....Colour of Bill look good for it.
To Ray...I too have photos from 2014 and 2015 (I posted some on site) but there were 3 of them at that time, all very much the same, so I could not say for certain if this was one of them, however it may well be as you say, one of them returning here again. regards.
