Title: Crossbill - Tilery Wood
Post by: IanF on April 11, 2017, 08:43:48 PM
On arriving this morning a flock of around 12 flew over our heads from the forestry hut towards the car park. An hour or so later eight landed in a tree close by. Light wasn't very good for the most part but I could see one male, two females and three juveniles. I think it's the first time I've seen juveniles here. They appeared well developed rather than fresh out of the nest. I counted eight altogether when the flock flew off.
