Sandwich Terns (some of which are ringed) on the groynes at Redcar
http://www.cr-birding.org/node/3538 for the blue ringed one
Red could be this one, but can't make any letters out. http://www.cr-birding.org/node/506
Ok thanks for that. I have contacted the newcastle group and am waiting for info but the Grampian group is new to me. I will contact them
Word came back from Chris Redfern from the Newcastle Group with the following information :-
Blue-UVD is DK52815, ringed as a chick on Coquet Island, Northumberland on 12 July 2014; it was seen as a juvenile at Findhorn, near Inverness/Peterhead, on 24-25 August 2014, but has not been seen since so it is great to have your observation! Many thanks indeed!
Nice one. I saw around 14 on the groynes yesterday, but couldn't really tell if any had rings, guessing so.
