Hi there.
Has work on the Greatham Creek flood defence scheme been completed now?
Is full access to Seal Sands and the long drag and their hides now fully back for the public?
Not local (Leeds) and haven't been up to the areas for a days birding for a while and just wanted to know before planing a trip up. I think i did read on a website that the scheme was completed in November '18 but would love confirmation form a local birder.
few videos of the scheme here for any interested:

Further to Keith's comments, I was speaking to a yellow vested contractor on the site and he additionally remarked that the excavation of the ephemeral lagoons ( compensation for the loss of fresh water pools on Cowpen), had also been completed.
These are on SABIC land, not open for public access, and are adjacent to the brine reservoirs.
