Benefits of sometimes working from home: I've had several sightings of a kestrel in the (small) back garden over the last month or so. Today was the first time I've managed to photograph it, through the window so not quite sharp. Quite a surprise when less than a mile NW of Billingham town centre; it looks like a young female, which may be a factor.
It's fair to say that the local magpies were not too impressed.
