Just wanted to know where the best places for wildlife in Northumberland are, i know the farnes are quite good as i have been before, but wondered if there was anywhere else. We will be there for 3 weeks so will have plenty of time.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Bridie

I'd certainly be checking out the reserves at East Chevington, Creswell, Hauxley which are all very good and Holy Island itself for that matter - for more info check here - http://www.birdforum.net/opus/Druridge_Bay

For an idea of what's being seen check this thread - http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=36750&goto=newpost

There is some good birdwatching near Amble - Druridge Bay and pools, East Chevington (with breeding Marsh Harriers) and Cresswell pool. There is a variety of habitats including Coquet Island. Hauxley is also good for waders and sea birds. Hope you have a great holiday.
