A horrible situation.

Earlier on this week I had the misfortune to come accross a road traffic accident. A roe deer had just been hit by a car, when I went to check on it I could see it was  obviously still alive but badly injured, I've never felt so helpless. If anybody else has a similar experience the correct procedure is to phone 999, ask for the police and explain a vet is needed as quickly as possible, other people seemed unsure or too shocked to do anything, so this might help, I hope I don't have to do that again, the image is still with me.
