Can't see what's above the yellow but I suspect it's black.

NY GN has been present there several weeks now. Usually on the rocks below Albion Terrace but it moves around a bit into the harbour and along towards Steetley.

I first saw it back there on 28/09/2015 and several times since. I've got records for it in Sept 2012 and 2013 and one for April 2013 on Seaton Common.

It was ringed on Seal Sands summer of 2012.

Photo was taken on 16/10/2015.

Curlew at Hartlepool Headland around noon today, just as the weather turned nasty.  Couldn't see any identifying letters or numbers but the pattern seems similar to one ringed at Seal Sands and reported a few posts ago.

Present on the beach at Newburn Bridge early afternoon.

QuoteIt?s a bird which was colour-ringed ringed at Harewood Whin landfill site, 3km east of York, as part of a new project. The bird was caught using a Cannon Net and is one of around 500 birds which have been caught in four catches so far this year

Harewood Whin is one of the decreasing number of Landfill sites in the UK where it is possible to operate for the catching and ringing of gulls.  The gulls feed on the Landfill site during the day and roost on the floods in Lower Derwent Valley National Nature Reserve or on the Humber Estuary.
The bird was rung on 20th March 2015 and has not been seen elsewhere since it was rung.

Colour ringed Twite at Seaton Snook yesterday. Found by Chris Brown on 24/11/2015.

Ringed 22/10/2014 in Rishworth, South Yorkshire

QuoteIt was ringed 22/10/2014 in Rishworth, South Yorkshire and over wintered that year in the Pennines. Interestingly 3 of the birds that it over wintered with arrived back at the same site this year having not been seen all summer.
Last winter the feeding station was covered with deep snow for a few days at this time all of our over wintering Twite disappeared. This bird however was quickly reported by patch watchers at Orgreave, Sheffield (just below the snow line!). When the snow melted a few days later it arrived back at the feeding site and remained in the area until around April. It is unclear where it spent the rest of its summer.

A second ringed bird was present but only with a metal ring which couldn't be read.
