Hurworth Burn, Crookfoot and Hart resevoirs for sale

For those that have not noticed the above 3 resevoirs are now all for sale. I wonder what impact that will have on the wildlife....

The problem with buying such a body of water as a reservoir, is the responsibility and liability for the dam.[ I recall rail viaducts for sale for £1 but there is the maintenance and insurance to consider and if I remember correctly, there were no takers ]. I believe some of the adjacent land will be part of any deal so some sailing/ watersport could be interested but such organisations are more likely to want to merely lease the use of the water and have no desire to take on the responsibility for the dam.
