Is access allowed to the areas on either side of the Long Drag or is it frowned upon?

IanF

As far as I'm aware there is no access at all to either side of the Long Drag - just the Drag itself - unless someone knows different!

SABIC allows access only along the Long Drag itself. This is applicable to the club as well as the public. Tees Ringing group have specific permission to ring the woodland and reed beds on either side  of the foot path along the L D.

Thanks. I thought that was the case but I had noticed a number of path heading off between the reed beds and suspect not  everyone sticks to the rules.

IanF

Possibly though bear mind there's a number of well heads and other equipment scattered about that the staff regularly check 24/7.

Fair point. There was a coach load of school kids in there the other day, they were all being supervised and it looked like a properly organised trip but it made me wonder.
