Shortly the club will be having talks about conservation and biodiversity enhancement measures with Northumbrian Water Ltd, at Lockwood and Scaling. This forum has regularly featured photographs of reptiles from these sites but the exact locations have not been provided - understandably. It would be beneficial if these locations could be provided, in confidence, to an appropriate person, yet to be determined. For example I personally know of one adder hibernaculum which is being shaded by developing tree growth and simple measures could save this site.
Suggestions on bird friendly beneficial measures are expected of course from our readers.
