Canon 500mm L f4 IS mkII lens and Gitzo GT3540 tripod now sold

[Renton Charman]

I'm selling my Canon 500mm lens. It is in pristine condition with unmarked glass having always been protected by a Lens Coat. There is plenty of evidence showing the performance of the lens on the Forum, maybe not so much in the last few months!! I can provide typical photos of birds and of the lens as well if required. It comes complete with the accessories included when new, i.e. lens caps, strap, manual and the substantial flight case and all in the original box. Looking for 5700 pounds ono. The mkII improves on the already good mkI being lighter to carry and more reliable and quicker autofocusing with better image quality.
The tripod is a Gitzo GT3540 carbon fibre rapid G-Lok in unmarked condition for 320 pounds ono. It has a raisable top section ideal for birds in flight overhead saving neck ache! It is ideal for supporting a heavy camera/long lens combination, well within it's specification, it cost over 800 pounds new.

The Gitzo tripod has now been sold and I've reduced the price of the 500mm lens to 5500 pounds.

Last reduction, now 5100 ono!
