Attaching Excel files

This might be a silly question. I've been trying to attach a Excel file but I can't see how it's done. What am I missing?

Not sure that you can. Extensions allowed are - doc,gif,jpg,mpg,pdf,png,txt,zip

I've occasionally pasted tables by copying on to Notepad which removes formatting and then copying that into the reply box which helps maintain format, though you don't get cells. Most of my colour histories are added in this fashion. Copied from Excel.

Someone else might have found a better solution.
