Water Rails

Apologies for the shameless plug but due to the current weather conditions we have several Water Rails, usually three and at most 6, outside the Wildlife Watchpoint. They can scuttle away but you will have to wait no longer than 10-20 minutes before they pop out again. If you've never seen this secretive species then this is a perfect time to familiarise yourself with them as they can be seen right in the open and less than 10 metres away. Supporting cast of lots of Skylark and Reed Bunting. Drive safely if you do venture out
