TBC Feeding Stations - Suggestions Requested

At the Club's Conservation Sub-Committee it was agreed that to set up some feeding stations in prime locations was a good idea in principle for the Club to so some active conservation work.  We therefore need ideas and to see who would be willing to help. We will, for example, need to decide:

1. Where to locate the feeding stations (are we targeting specific species(eg Twite)) or a variety?

2. What sort of feeding stations are envisaged (feeders/tables or just scattering seed in key locations?).

3. Who are the volunteers to top up the bird food at regular intervals.

4. If the feeding stations are on SSSIs, SPA, TNNR, etc. we will need appropriate permissions.

Do you have any ideas to take this forward? TBC would, of course, pay for and provide the bird food.

How about an area with seed near the Dorman's Pool car parks. Hopefully one of the regulars who dont work and go down daily may be able to help fill them
