Curlew colour ring OY NY was on Seaton Common this morning. Nice to see it back again this Autumn. At 35 years old it likely holds the UK longevity record

Present on the west pond since 7th September. Mostly giving distant views staying on the causeway and western edge of the pond.

Today it was also on Back Saltholme on the causeway opposite the hide from where it flew off quite high towards the wet grassland.

General Discussion / Re: Twitter feeds
August 08, 2023, 08:10:53 PM
I can see both Twitter feeds if I view TBC website using Microsoft Edge browser even when not logged in.

Nothing shows using Opera, Avast or Brave.

It's never been an issue for me as I use the Twitter app on my phone/tablet. Twitter is free to sign up and you can use a browser if you don't want to download the app.

I agree though the club should have it's own sightings page again as I suspect the issues with Twitter will only get worse. Even if it means to the previous sightings page prior to Twitter.

A while since I've seen this one but it was in front of the Phil Stead hide on Sunday 30th July, around 13:00.  Ring starting to look a bit faded.  From memory, this egret hatched in Somerset.

It was here until 08/02/2023 before disappearing. I first saw it again on 09/07/2023 and then virtually every day since then. A red colour ringed bird had been around since about 01/07/2023 but was never close enough to read the ring.

It's from RSPB Ham Wall, Somerset ringed 23/04/2021.

Seen at Saltholme on Sunday, 02/07/23.  Presumably one of the "regulars"?

Yes. It nested close to the hide with an un-ringed bird. They were the last ones to nest. They had four chicks though I could only see one remaining fluffy chick when I was there yesterday. IP one of it's siblings was also present yesterday. Ringed locally June 2021.
