Teesmouth Bird Club

A short time ago RSPB erected a new sign in this car park, this led to comments about it's location which I was in discussion about with RSPB to see if a better position could be found. Someone has now taken it upon themselves to reduce the hight and turn it into a seat, this should not have been done. This seat will have to be removed as it is too close to the edge of the steep slope and an accident could happen for which the RSPB would be liable.  RSPB are now the owners of this site and we are there as their guests.

If anyone has ideas or thinks work should be done please contact me on davenelson.tbc@gmail.com and I will talk to RSPB about this and see what can be done. They are looking after a large area with a limited workforce so jobs will not be done overnight, if you wish to do work here why not approach the RSPB and become a volunteer.

I absolutely agree Dave. The sign was perfect for resting a camera or binoculars and if it was in the way then it only took a step to left or right and the vista was clear. It's a stupid little thing now.

Sign looks fine now. I was there last night in pouring rain and a howling gale when you would not want to be out of the car and the sign no longer gets in the way.
