Teesmouth Bird Club

Saw this Butterfly on the woodland trail near Grosmont. I can't see anything which fits in my little butterfly book. Can the more learned say what it is?

Thanks Chris, I did not see its Dorsal / Upper side . I just took the photos while I had chance. Mostly with wings up and closed. I must make that visit to Specsavers or read more about Butterflies. Thanks again.
