Weasel  at the South Gare. Showing itself on the wall near to the gap before leading down to the steps.

no black tip to the tail,indicates weasel, stoats stoately different. great photos though.

OK Tim, You are probably right. I cannot compete against a Hero Member. I did wonder if it was a Weasel but it seemed to be too big. I also thought that the tail was too short and may have been broken, hence no black tip. I will leave it open for the present.

  You can see the dark spot under the jaw on the last photo when it is running away, which is supposed to be definitive.  Combined with the other features it is definitely weasel.  As far as I can tell this is a new tetrad record for weasel (which of course isn't the same as saying that no-one else has seen one there)

OK Thanks to all who contributed. I will amend it to Weasel. Incidentally I coaxed it to show itself after disappearing into the bushes by making a kissing noise. This made re-appear on to the wall.

I took these at South Gare January 2015, through the fence going towards the lighthouse on the left hand side.
