Snow Buntings (x~50) at the South Gare. At least one is colour ringed.

I have had word from Quentin Dupriez in Paris who tells me that he ringed a Snow Bunting in Calais on 2013 with the code C3 on a white ring. This makes it a candidate for record longevity if this is true. Does anyone know if any other ringers are using this combination?

Just be aware that Tees Ringing Group has been ringing Snow Buntings again this winter at Seaton Snook. They started in 2017 with A*. They've now used A-H.

52 colour ringed so far this winter.

They are using whi pale grey rings with black lettering usually on the left tarsus with a metal BTO ring on the right tarsus. They can look white though.

They ringed B7 on 20/11/2020 at Seaton Snook. C3 was ringed there on 25/11/2020.

I suspect C3 is the locally ringed bird rather than one from France as there seems to be a regular exchange of birds between Seaton Snook and South Gare.

OK thanks Ian. I suspected that they may have been ringed locally. I have informed Quentin Dupriez. I got his email address from CR-Birding.org and it didn't mention the Tees Group.
